Aloha Gang! I hope you all had a prosperous and successful Weds. If not let today be your bounce back day. As I stated in my last thread, I finally have put together two solid back to back days. My record in the those two days is 13W-4L= +30 Units. I took yesterday off, as I couldnt see any game I liked. Funny, usually big card do that to me. Anyway, today's card is a little smaller, and I guess that is why I was able to find those mouth watering games today. In fact, I found 9 games I like , but 3 stand out for me and they all fit into my POW criteria which I like very much. Anyway, enough talking already. LETS ROCK-N-ROLL BABY!

6 Unit Big Sky, Sun Belt, & Pac-10 Plays of the Week on:

N Arizona -7 (Big Sky)(BLOWOUT WINNER)

Middle Tenn St. -6 (Sun Belt)(LOSE)

Arizona St E (Pac-10)(LOSE)

-N Ariz is 5-2 at home, scoring 81 ppg and 49.2% from the field. They are also holding its opponents to a LOW of 65.6 ppg and a shooting LOW of 38 FG%. Montana is 1-8, scoring 68 ppg on the road, but is allowing its opponents to score a WHOPPING 81 ppg and 48.6% from the field. N Ariz has a deeper bench, and returns 4 starters back this year. They have produced to become the #1 Scoring Offense in the Conf, and #1 in draining 3 pointers per a game with 8.7. N Ariz is 6-0 SU over Montana since 1997, and they are 2-0 SU and ATS at home over Montana in the last 3 seasons. N Ariz not only dominated over the years, but they simply have to much Offense for Montana to match up. Easy cover and win for them today.

-Middle Tenn St is scoring 79.2 ppg and shooting 46.5% from the field, while only giving up 62.9 ppg at home this year. NMST, on the other hand, is ONLY scoring 59.4 ppg on the road, but is giving up over 70 ppg. Midd Tenn St is also 8-1 SU and 3-1 ATS at home. NMST is 2-6 SU and 2-5-1 ATS on the road. In Midd Tenn St's last 5 games, they have been playing good ball going 4-1 SU and ATS. Also in Conf games, they are 3-1 SU and ATS. NMST, on the other hand, in their last 5 games, are 1-4 SU and 1-3 ATS, and have been on a downward slide in both ppg and FG%. During this time where they are averaging a season LOW of 57.8 ppg and just 39% from the field. I dont think anything is going to change over night and definately not against this team on a roll. NMST continues to be a money maker fading them. Today that trend continues for us.

-Arizona St has only gone 1-3 SU and ATS on the road, but they do average more on the road scoring at 69.7 ppg, than Wash St scores at home with 64 ppg. Still, it is in Arizona St's last 5 games played compared to Wash St play in the last 5 games , where I see an advantage here tonight. Ariz St in the last 5 games are averaging more ppg with 75.8, and shooting a higher % from the field at 44.1%. Wash St, on the other hand, not only went 1-4 SU and ATS in their last 5 games, but their average ppg and FG% have fallen to a season low at 53 ppg and 38.1% from the field. Simply put, they are spiraling downwards. Their last lost to in state rival Washington at home, has still got to be hurting them mentally and physically. Making matters worst for them, is Coach Dick Bennett's negative comments made to the media about his team playing selfishly and giving up. In my eyes, it seems that he is right. Additional negatives working against Wash ST in this one is the absence of starting Center Ezenwa Ukeagu who is serving out his final game suspension. Ariz St is 2-0 SU and ATS the last 3 seasons at Wash St. After today's game, you can make that 3-0 SU and ATS for the Sun Devils in Cougar land.

Adding:

4 Unit Plays on:

Wisc-GB E (WIN by 1 pt)

Denver -5 (BLOWOUT WINNER)

Oregon -6 (WINNER)

-Wisc-GB is 8-1 at home, and 6-2 in Conf games. Det is 3-5 on the road. Wisc-GB is averging 70.6 ppg and holds opponents to a LOW of 62.3 ppg. Detroit is averaging 62.6 ppg on the road. Wisc-GB statistically is better in Scoring Def, Scoring Off, FT%, TO Margin, and 3 pt per game, than that of Detroit. Wisc-GB is also in a position to move into a tie with Wright St for second in the Conf and cannot afford to let this one slip by them. This is a very low line, but I wont question any gifts the Vegas Boys want to give me. In fact I will say THANK YOU in advance to them.

-Denver scores 72.7 ppg at home and gives up ONLY 63.7 ppg in their house. S Ala averages 65 ppg on the road, but is giving up a WHOPPING 73.7 ppg and 50% from the field. Denver has the deeper bench and returns 4 starters to S Ala 2. SIDE NOTE: S Ala is 0-6 as a road underdog of 3.5 to 6 pts in the last 3 years. Denver is 2-0 SU and ATS at home against S Ala the last 3 years. This is a rival game, and in these games, I like to take the home team. I see the Magness Arena simply Rockin tonight, but it may be the thin air in the high altitude that kills S Ala tonight. Go Pioneers!

-This is another game where the visitor simply struggles on the road. Cali is 1-5 on the road and scores only 64 ppg away from home. Oregon this year is 6-0 at home and 4-1 ATS. Oregon at home averages 78.3 ppg and shoots an AMAZING 51% from the field, while holding its opponents to only 62.2 ppg in their house. Other stats of value, Oregon is #3 in Scoring Off, #1 FG %, #2 FT%, #1 3 pt FG% Def, and #1 in 3 pointers made a game with 9.2. Cali is bad in these categories, last in FT%, #9 in Scoring Off, #8 FG%, #10 in 3 pt FG%, and last at #10 in 3 pointers made per game with ONLY 4. Also in Oregons last 5 games, their FG% in the field is still going up. WOW. In this one, the numbers tell me the story of an Oregon win today. Go Ducks!

3 Unit Plays on:

Sac St. -2 (WIN)

San Jose St +14(LOSE bt 2 pts)

WF -6(WIN)

-Montana St is 3-4 on the road, and averaging only 63 ppg, while allowing its opponents to score an average of 70 ppg. Sac St is 6-3 at home SU and 4-3 ATS. At home they are averaging 72.6 ppg and holding its opponents to JUST 63 ppg. This is right at the Mont St avg on the road. Sac St does have the #2 ranked 3 point scoring per a game with draining 7.4 a game. But other stats I like with Sac St is that they are 5-1 ATS vs Mont St since 1997 and 4-0 over the last 3 seasons. But at home, Sac St is 2-0 SU and ATS vs Mont St the last 3 seasons. I like this type of team dominance. If everything plays to both teams averages and past histories, Sac St should have another easy win and cover. History repeats itself today.

-Yes, I know how S Jose St is 0-7 in Conf SU and ATs, but in their last 5 games, they did improve their shooting % from the field to their highest of 46.7% on the year. Tulsa is 5-2 SU at home, but only 2-3 ATS. S Jose St is averaging 64.9 ppg and 45% from the field on the road. Tulsa is only scoring 71 ppg and shooting 43% from the field at home. But here is why I like the points in this one. In Tulsa's last 5 games they are only 2-3 SU and 1-3 ATS, averaging JUST 64 ppg and 40% from the field. In Conf games, they are 2-5 SU and 1-5 ATS and have as well been scoring less ppg and shooting a lower FG%, at 62.9 ppg and 40.2% from the field. To me, they have not proven to be a team worthy of giving anyone 14 points, not this year. Take the Points.

-Wake has a deeper bench with 4 returning starters to Maryland's 1. Maryland is 2-4 SU and ATS on the road. Wake has been solid at home at 7-1 and averages 83.6 ppg and 48% shooting from the field at home. More impressive than this, is that they are holding its opponents to JUST 62.4 ppg and ONLY 36.6% from the field. WF did lose 4 straight games, but 3 of 4 was on the road. Maryland had a tough time at Clemson, and this will be much more of a tougher time for them here. WF's backs are against the wall and Coach Gene is very angry and so are the Deamon Decons faithful. Today WF's house should be Rockin and that doesnt bold to well for Maryland that is riding on one man's shoulders in Medley. WF is at home, and it is where they play their Best ball. WF's returning starters gets it done today.

-Whew Gang, these writeups are alot of work. But to me, they are important that I at least state my case for my selections. I find it very important for me to do that, as I would like to not only communicate, but also to educate those that are following my plays. I look for another solid outing for us today. Lets get this third consecutive solid day today. After that, we are going to party as it is Thirsty Thursday, and I am all ready to pound a few today. Good Luck and as always Aloooooha. Co-Captain.

CC -- very nice run you are on, keep it up. Looking at that N. Arizona game myself and really like the fact (as you noted) that Montana will be playing at altitude with a pretty short bench -- the Griz may stay close early, but the Jacks will run them out in the second -- haven't pulled the trigger, but may do so.

Best of luck.

Cap great run, I'm all over Middle Tenn.St.-with you they're a solid all around team! I like the card, Wisc GB-I like that pick, I was thinking about playing them also. They've had a little slide but nothing they can't fix at home. I absolutely will rock with the Cap tonight!-

Capt, like/love all the picks, except Midd Tenn.

Something just tells me that NMST is going to get their act together on the road just enough to cover this one. I'm gonna take it as a no play.

What do you think of Boise St? Looks like a good spot for them to beat up on La Tech at home.

Darn UH, I thought they had that game yesterday....at least they covered.

I didnt even look at that game between Boise St and La Tech. But I would favor Boise St. UH, yep I thought that was to many points , never expected them to win the game , but I am proud that they came close,as Rice has been smoking people of late. Good sign for the Warriors and good test for them. Tells me alot about this team. Cant wait for the Revenge game against Rice back home. I won my Big Game against them with Hawaii last year in the hoops. I think they can do it again. As you know, Rice is the Staple food for us HAWAIIANS , LOL. Gl and Aloha CC.

Good luck with yer picks!

I love the Arizona State pick - I'm on it too (in a 2 team Parlay using the AZ ML and AZState at +2 that pays out -101)

I also agree with you ATS on that Oregon selection.

Thanks for the input in my thread - my reason for disagreeing with you in the context of a 4 team tease is because I think the margin of victory for Oregon within 17 is better than the potential margin of victory for Cal being within 4.

I hope you understand - and I appreciate your input and insights.

Keep em coming and maybe you'll help get me out of the red...

Hey Capt, still get chance for good day. I got N. Arizona with ya, and I took my Boise bet, kinda up in the air there.

Dam NMST did show up on the road! I'm looking at that Oregon pick but not sure I'm liking that one either (was actually thinking of Cal but will probably just lay off).

Keep on posting man! Thought you had San Jose St. too. Maybe that big Tulsa win will help the UH line this weekend!

GL Capt. I'm done for today. Boise really didn't show up at home against La Tech. Scored 66 points at home?

Hope your seconds come through for ya!
